Care for Children of
All Ages

We proudly care for patients from infancy through age 18. Each stage of growth comes with unique dental needs, and our approach is designed to support your child every step of the way.
We welcome:
Newborns and infants for early guidance and evaluations
Toddlers and young children building healthy habits
School-aged children maintaining and protecting their smiles
Teens with evolving dental needs and concerns

Your Child’s First Visit

Your child’s first dental visit sets the tone for future experiences. We focus on creating a calm, friendly introduction that helps children feel comfortable and supported.

During the visit, you can expect:

  • A gentle exam tailored to your child’s age
  • A chance to discuss health history and any concerns
  • Guidance on daily care routines and habits
  • Recommendations for next steps if needed

When appropriate, we may suggest services like Dental Cleanings & Exams to begin building a strong foundation for oral health.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

To help your visit run smoothly, we recommend bringing:
Your child’s medical and dental history
Any comfort items that help your child feel at ease
A list of questions or concerns

Our Fee-for-Service Model

Sunny Ridge Pediatric Dentistry operates as a fee-for-service practice. This means we do not participate directly with insurance plans, allowing us to focus fully on personalized care without restrictions.

What this means for your family:

  • Treatment recommendations are based solely on your child’s needs
  • No limitations from insurance networks or coverage restrictions
  • Greater flexibility in choosing the best care options

While we do not accept insurance directly, many families with out-of-network benefits may still be able to submit claims independently for reimbursement.

Payment Information

We aim to keep payment simple and transparent so you can focus on your child’s care.

We offer:
Acceptance of major credit and debit cards
Clear cost discussions before treatment
Straightforward pricing with no hidden fees
Flexible payment plans through Cherry and CareCredit
Our team is always available to answer questions.

Flexible Financing Through Cherry & CareCredit

Because we're a fee-for-service practice, we know families appreciate options for spreading out the cost of care. We're pleased to accept both Cherry and CareCredit, two third-party financing programs that let you pay for your child's treatment over time.

  • Cherry offers a quick application with no hard credit check to see if you qualify, and approval decisions come back in seconds. Once approved, you can choose a monthly payment plan that fits your budget.
  • CareCredit is a healthcare credit card accepted at practices nationwide. It can be used for your child's dental care as well as other family health expenses, with a range of short- and long-term payment options available.

Both can be applied for before your visit or while you're here, and our team is glad to walk you through either one. Interest rates, plan lengths, and promotional terms are set by Cherry and CareCredit directly, so we recommend reviewing your offer details when you apply.

Helping Your Child Feel Ready

Preparing your child ahead of time can make a meaningful difference in their experience.

You can help by:

  • Talking about the visit in a positive and simple way
  • Keeping explanations light and reassuring
  • Bringing a favorite toy or comfort item
  • Encouraging curiosity about the visit

If your child needs additional support, options like Sedation Dentistry may be available to help create a more relaxed experience.
